In this case, you have a setting which can really kill the performance of the
software. And, not trivial in that if you change it, you almost have to start
over. I don't think that's a good thing. It's just not a setting you change,
and, overnight, things work better. There's more to it.
And that is why I believe you should change the default. That's not to say
there are not places where teft may well work better. It may. But, I am telling
you something you already know.
