There seems to be some interest, but not a huge amount (or at least a lack of time for those currently sponsoring dspam within Debian) in progressing to 3.8.0. I suspect that a forked project would in itself have little effect on that but assuming the forked project was actively maintained then it would probably make it easier to get Debian and subsequently Ubuntu to adopt it.

Are there [m]any people here using dspam on Debian with time to devote to this? Unfortunately I'm rather limited in skills in this area (and time for that matter, but skills is the bigger problem).
