Hi randy
Same happened in our system LU3AOC, VHF was unusable at all and UHF was
heavily degraded by bloking signals from FM station and 490 Mhz
repeaters co-located.
We choose Bp-Br duplexers and then we noticed that was not enough,
remember of Bp-Br does not help in out of band frequencies.
The RX performance is really bad compared with other analog repeaters
from Icom.
In the case of VHF we made a notch filter combined with a hi pass at 95
Mhz and VHF improved a lot http://www.lu1cgb.com.ar/filtro_de_vhf.htm

In the UHF case, we install a band pass filter in the RX side with 0.8
db of atenuation, just one single cavity, and now it works great.
Regarding antennas we use a single antena for each repeater, and in
your case the duplexer can help a litlle.

Regards, Adrian LU1CGB
