Jim, WU5E has successfully completed setup of a 440.675 Mhz, +5 Mhz
offset DSTAR repeater near Killeen, Fort Hood, Copperas Cove Texas
complete with Internet Gateway and DPLUS, and DSTAR Mon. The call
sign of this repeater is W5LM B (courtesy of the Temple Amateur
Radio Club). The local DSTAR Team are all members of TARC and the
club has graciously permitted their call to be used on this DSTAR
installation.

This brings DSTAR Coverage to the largest military installation in the
world and will cover the main post and Robert Gray Army Air Field.
The Temple K5CTX B repeater covers South and East of Fort Hood, and a
planned installation near Gatewville, Texas will cover North Fort Hood.

John, KE5C did his magic on the linux installation and configuration.
We are using Clearwire WIMAX Internet Service with DHCP instead of a
fixed IP address - this seems to work just fine. I provide the tower
site, etc.

John will soon add DPRS and an APRS node with local connection to the
innternet.

73, Steve NU5D
