Hello,

I have two IC-2200H radios that I'm trying out on Dstar. There isn't
a repeater I can reliably hit from Anchorage. So I've been trying out
the simplex possibilities.

I have the one radio in my truck running GPS beacon mode and the other
set up at home connected to a computer connected to the internet.
The computer is receiving the beacon packets and using "D-PRS
Interface" to forward them to the APRS_IS system.

The D-PRS software will also allow a local connection to UI-View,
giving a Dstar tracking system that doesn't rely on a gateway or on
the internet.

I just got all this working and wanted to share that you can have fun
with Dstar even without a repeater nearby.

thanks...
