Dennis,

You might not know about this, but all of that WON'T work in Texas either. For
instance, if you have a government operated FAA Radar Site nearby, which uses
1295 MHz with a +/- 6-MHz bandwidth-- which MUST be protected by all AMATEURS
in the area, any frequency near 1295 is definitely out. (We do here in my
area.)

All of your other frequencies sound good! I like the 446.225 MHz much better
than 441.000 MHz.

Tnx,

Charlie, N5TD

Subject: Re: [dstar_digital] National DSTAR simplex freq?

So all will know I started this by sending an email to the ARRL.
This email has made it now all the way to the Texas VHF/UHF Society
and it looks like around the U.S.

My proposal for *Texas Dstar Simplex Frequencies* are the following:

2m 145.670 Dstar National Calling Frequency
  145.470 Dstar Alternate Voice/Data Frequency
145.270 Dstar Data Frequency (Local/Mobile Remote
  Repeater)

70cm 446.225 Dstar Simplex Calling Frequency (not National due to
  conficts In other states)
  446.250 Dstar Alternate Voice/Data Frequency
446.300 Dstar Data Frequency (Local/Mobile Remote
  Repeater)

23cm 1294.250 Dstar National Calling Frequency
  1294.300 Dstar Alternate Voice/Data Frequency
1294.350 Dstar Data Frequency (Local/Mobile Remote
  Repeater)

Local/Mobile Remote Repeater is for Dstar Dchat/D-rats/Dcomms Events or
  Experimental.
Keep in mind this will work in Texas, but maybe other states it may not.
Repeater linking, offsets, etc. are different from state-to-state.
Keep in mind we are talking *SIMPLEX* modes here.

I have DV/DD modes working well at *500 milliwatts* across town 15-20 miles
  no problem.
It is reliable even with intermodulation interference. More testing to do.
  Using D-rats/D*Chat.
*KEEP in MIND Emergency Traffic may want to include more allocations in
  certain bands.*
