We have some money from our local hospital to purchase a number of ID1s for field deployment in our ambulances and disaster tents. We have a number of our personnel, RNs, MDs, paramedics, etc. licensed as hams, however we will not know who might be in a position to use the ID1s if we have a disaster. If I understand correctly, each of the ID1s will have to have a unique call sign (not the same as the DSTAR repeater). Is there any way to avoid having to program callsigns for the radios in the field for each use?
