I suppose you could use tactical callsigns on the radios, but then the
operator would need to be sure and give a legal ID as required by the
rules.  If you are doing DV that's not a big deal, just have them voice ID
every 10 minutes, etc.  On DD it becomes problematic because you will need
to put something int the data to do the ID.  Also there is the issue if you
use the gateway of having universally and registered unique callsigns for
source routing.  You could also use a club callsign that is not being used
as a repeater/gateway callsign and assign a letter/number to the 8th
position.  The club trustee then becomes responsible for their proper use,
e.g. N4SCD^^F, N4SCD^^H, N4SCD^^X ....
