I guess the audio may not be offensive in any way. However, it would be nice if it were natural sounding and as good as 'much lesser' radios. With more investigation, I have found an article by IZ0HAK who explains the problem is due to 3 sets of HP filtering in the 2820. by bypassing one of these, the problem is resolved. This mod is listed with photos on Mods.dk. Anyone tried this mod?
