The w8rnl website is not overly helpful in figuring that out - here is
what it says:
"We are trying to keep this connected to a reflector. This is a
lot of fun. There are people on from all over the world and you don't
have worry about the callsign programming. "
now the way I read that is they don't care as long as it is connected
to A reflector (Now the key word in the above is "CONNECTED TO A
REFLECTOR") -- I might be over simplifing that - but at least for the
past few day I have heard the same people so that would mean no one
has changed the reflector that it is on....

I will email Roger and see what I/We really can do and can't do -
seems like he might be the only one that can really answer those
questions - I got the impression when I was in the store that the
other guys were not too sure how dstar worked either -- my have just
been my impression of what was going on, but I was asking questions
and they keep looking at Roger (he was on the phone...and was very
busy at the time)....just the impression I got.

Great! I am to the north of you - Middletown, OH - and untill just now
was unaware of another Dstar repeater in the area - there is also one
in Dayton (the website says they are in testing phase now) - and a few
to the north of me, but so far all I have used is W8RNL, but I
programmed the radio for K8BIG a few minutes ago and will try to
monitor it as well.
Thanks for the help, and ideas!
