Hi John, You also need to keep in mind that if you run an amp with any HT it will drain the battery very easy. It will also cause the radio to heat up much faster as well. I used a 30w amp on a 220 MHz years ago and learned the hard way on that. The best thing to do is to get a mobile if you need more power and do it the correct way.
