Its the entrenched manufacturers, other than Icom, who don't get it. The standard has been around for almost 10 years now, its implementation that's missing from the non-Icom manufacturers. So new manufacturers will probably come in. Alinco is probably the low hanging fruit. I wonder what would happen if everyone on this list wrote Alinco HQ a nice letter telling them they would buy Alinco radios if they implemented D-STAR in place of their proprietary digital system?
