The DVDongle is a device and software that allows a PC to connect to the D-STAR network similarly to a radio. If you are familiar with Echolink, this is similar to the way that Echolink works. The DVDongle contains the audio CODEC, the AMBE from DVSI that is required to encode and decode the audio in D-STAR. It's also one of the cheapest entries into D-STAR at $199 USD.
