It should be classified as VOIP, the same as Echolink computer to
computercommunications.
The only difference between these two is that a vaid amateur
radio license is necessary to register, which then allows the
communications.
I would not like to think of it as a QSO as in a cw or SSB (or FM) RF
contact.
