What you saw last weekend was my 440 dstar repeater. The configuration we
were using was using the hot spot software because of a firewall problem on
site. However when the repeater is at a site with unlimited internet access
it is a full blown dstar repeater with gateway, dplus, dstarmon, etc.
(KC2WBJ)..

The hardware configuration is: 2 Motorola CDM-750 radios (45 watt radios
turned down to 25 watts in software) with a mobile duplexer, and a node
adapter.

If anyone needs help setting something like this up let me know.
