I built a standalone 2m D-Star repeater based on an early Satoshi DV Node
Adapter board 18 months ago. This was back in the days when you needed two
PIC's to use standalone mode. I originally wanted to use a couple of commercial
Icom radio but ended up using some Simoco SRM9000 mobile radios. I also use a
SRM9000 for my DV Node Adapter hot-spot.

Last year I changed the design and made an interface so I could connect the
modem in the DV Node Adapter PCB directly to my Icom ID-RP2C D-Star controller.
The home-brew D-Star repeater has been working in this fashion for around six
months alongside a "normal" Icom 70cm D-Star repeater.

I've got some videos up on YouTube showing the repeater in action.
