1. Each second Sunday of a month all are invited
to play in the Simplex Society gathering.
This sunday 8/8 will be our first attempt.

2. The event will run from 0800 to 1000 local time,
maybe a little earlier & later for those near
    time zone boundaries.

3. Some station on the east coast will 'launch'
a simple message to the group at 0800, maybe
something like "Boston likes baked beans
   and brown bread."

4. Everyone is invited to talk with their neighbors
via simplex and to pass the message of the day
to anyone who hasn't received it yet. (But the message isn't important -
contacts are!)

Common simplex frequencies are: 145.670 & 446.225

Contact reports can be sent to [email protected]

Something like cabrillo format would be good, with 6 character Grid locator
added.

Since lots of folks like to contest, maybe we could use a scoring system
something like this:

   A. One point for each contact

   B. Five points for receiving the message of the day (once only)

C.Two points for passing the message to a station that hasn't heard it yet.

Hope to hear you then!

Ted,
W1GRI
