Personally I think OpenSolaris is a great idea. Sun takes a step in
the right direction, just as it did with OpenOffice. The latter is
what Linux really needed to become a viable desktop alternative to the
guys that sell the lookOut software ;-)
Linux can benefit from some of the ideas behind Solaris without having
to worry about intellectual property issues - Sun has opened quite a
few patents and doors for the F/OSS community.
In my opinion, talking about Solaris here is just as talking about Red
Hat and SuSe or any other commercial vendor of open-source software -
we shouldn't have problems with it, as long as it stays within the
interest of an open society.

Thank you Chris for sending us this link. I think I might give it a
try, as long as it's in English ;-) We'll see about that in a minute.

Regards,
Stoma
