Microsoft
bought VS from some other company - can't remember which. The product
was originally used to host Windows OS on the Mac platform. Apparently VS performs like Sh Zayed Rd at rush hour - way too slow to do anything usefull! Regards Sean Manoj Menon wrote: Hi everybody, I've been trying to get Win XP to run on my Dell Inspiron 510m laptop for sometime now. I had given up on Xen, cause I don't have a CPU that supports VT/Pacifica. I was going to try Qemu, when I came across Micro$oft Virtual $erver 2005 R2 on CNET news.com.http://news.com.com/Microsoft+to+host+Linux+virtually/2100-7346_3-6056683.html?tag=nl It kinda approaches the problem from a different perspective, but I would be happy to use this if it works. I would love to hear from anybody who has tried using this. I am specifically interested in performance and hardware support. Oh, and apparently its also "free". -Manoj.C PS: And, in case you are wondering, my distribution is OpenSuSE 10. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam?
