I agree, Forum would be much better - http://simplemachines.org has a nice feature filled, yet fast Forum script  called SMF , I have some hosting space and bandwith too.

I suggested this a few months ago. But some of us didn't agree because
they will lose track of the postings. (Right now they are using the
RSS feeds of the LUG to keep up to date). I must say that is an
interesting feat, I use it as well. On the other hand I agree that a
forum would be a LOT more convenient. I really don't like this yahoo
stuff.

I have hosting space for a full sized lug forum, no problem. Let's
discuss it sometime.
