You can use rsync to maintain static files across 2 servers - this should work fine with your web content.  The problem you have is mysql.  You can safely ship the database files if the service has been stopped.  You don't want to replicate these files while mysql is running. I guess this site will be a 24x7 job, making it more difficult to backup the database.  You may write a short script that downs the database, copies the database files to another location on the local machine, start the database, then use rsync on the file copies....   Regards Sean Saheer wrote: cpanel, mysql and php.
