a bit off
topic - especially if you want to use this with XP. You'd do better to ask which mobile pda you can sync with your favourite Linux distro and how..... If you're not interested in having a camera, consider the Sony Ericsson M600i. You will need to use XP to update the device (boo), but at least you can do it yourself (yay!) The M600i has great voice clarity, touch screen, bluetooth, infra-red, and a memory slot that uses the new Sony Micro Memory Stick format. The biggest you can get right now is 1 GB. The M600i comes with QuickOffice (for doc, xls) and pdf+. To be fair, I haven't used the office software, but I do have many, many mp3s on the card..... I even like the looks of Amida(http://www.amidasimputer.com/why/). But i am not sure of its in Dubai.
