I too found no issues with my Vaio bought from Carrefour. My work laptop is a Dell 6400 and works well with Fedora, though I haven't spent too much time on configuring the built-in webcam. This one has a matte screen and I would recommend it. You can buy it from any branded store (I found Carrefour prices to be lowest, but ymmv). I have an old Compaq Presario v5000 which doesn't let me change my volume level on Fedora. I would stay away from Compaqs if I were to use Linux. I always buy from branded stores instead of the Musallah Tower kinds. I might pay a few dhs more but I get peace of mind. Regards, NMK.
