Dear Kenza,

what dissolution do you mean? A dissolution of CO2 into water/brine or a CO2-caused dissolution of solids?

A kinetic dissolution of solid could be implemented using the 2pncmin model.

A kinetic in the dissolution of CO2 into brine/water is, to my knowledge, not yet implemented in DUMUX and you would have to do it yourself by adapting the 2pnc files, at least the volumevariables, maybe also the model and probably the fluidsystem. You would also need an additional primary variable as the CO2 in the aqueous phase would be independent of the aqueous phase, as the equilibrium assumptions currently used would no longer apply.

I hope this helps a bit.

Best regards

Johannes

Hello Dumux users,

Is there a way to add a dissolution rate in the CO2 injection test?

Best regards,

Kenza
