Dear DuMuX community, we are happy to announce that DuMuX version 3.8 is released!
You can check it out via git clone -b releases/3.8 https://git.iws.uni-stuttgart.de/dumux-repositories/dumux.git or download the tarball at: https://git.iws.uni-stuttgart.de/dumux-repositories/dumux/-/archive/3.8.0/dumux-3.8.0.tar.gz DuMuX 3.8 is a minor release and is backwards compatible with version 3.7 with the few exceptions listed in the changelog. Some general improvements and additions of this release are: * Pore network: added dual network model and model for heat conduction in a solid grain network. * Improved memory footprint of tpfa scv/scvf interfaces. * A string expression parser for the input file was added. * Extended the time loop to be more versatile. * Chrono: Added a conversion function for translating between string representations and time durations. * Added a hyperelastic model and test. * The property system now allows checking if type tags are present in the inheritance hierarchy of other type tags. * Freeflow nonisothermal: An issue with the compositional heat flux's upwinding calculations has been fixed. * The staggered discretization method has been updated to fix former inconsistencies. * The template argument for `getParam` and `getParamFromGroup` now defaults to `std::string`. * Compositional freeflow tests have been ported to the overhauled staggered discretization method. * Improved memory footprint of gridGeomtries. * Now, python bindings are disabled by default if Dumux is built without a custom configuration to avoid mixing of static and dynamic libraries.
