But what some of us are after is to have the Duo's screen open and active
while in a topless Dock. In my case, this would avoid giving up desk space
to an external monitor's footprint and still make it possible to
reconfigure the ethernet connection from its default settings as needed,
after which my networked G4's monitor takes over. I'm afraid it's back to
the drawing-and-quartering board, Igor. Sure hope you succeed. Or that
Brandy can track down why hers works. ;-)
