Sorry to say, but it's probably the little 'puters fault.
As far as transferring edited iMovie material to VHS, if you can
playback the movie smoothly from the 2400, then it can be copied, but if
it won't playback without stuttering or whatever distortion happens,
well, that's what will be recorded onto VHS or any other format.
