I've seen several instances of the Apple System Profiler being wrong, on
system info, L2 cache info and RAM info. I've also seen TechTool reporting
the hardware incorrectly. I think this happens particularly when I'm using
an upgraded system, for instance with a G3 upgrade or PPC upgrade. You can
try TattleTech for a 3rd opinion. I like TattleTech's very detailed reports
on virtually every aspect of a system.
