Yup!! I think sometimes Apple aborts functionality over novelty. Hey I
am not attacking Apple I have a Mac 128 (the first mac off the rack up
graded when the power supply went south then added ram to get 512k),
IIsi, IIci, 6360 more ram + 8 gig drive, 2300 duo with dock, G3 with 128
meg 9 gig drive. So I have been supporting them right? Anyway, they,
Apple keep falling back to the Novelty thing. They have a great
product! The "Cube" has received a lot of criticism but I am sure it
has it's up side but I am not interested in this model or any model
unless it can be up graded some how. I am put my share of boards in my
macs and ram software etc. But my constituents (those evil
microsoft/windozs) folks never have felt that mac is a serious machine.
There is no education out there that takes the machine and says "Hey!!!!
Looky folks, this machine can run your program on a web, run the MS end
software (invisibly I might add) and operate in line with your current
machines and easier to set up. Although they would not demand the same
support so you may need to find some other way to toss your money away
(maybe give people a raise nah). Some how I don't think that breaking
away from the tradition is something we do well. Where I work for
instance, Gateways everywhere. All net worked together. Seems like
there is a tremendous amount of time goes into trouble shooting the
bloody virus epidemic which I rarely find on my own machine (can't
remember when I last found a virus). So go figure. I a society that
seems to hate spending money on people like to piss (oops to strong a
word) throw it away rather give money to technicians and support staff.
What a system huh? Any other comments in this direction while the topic
is heating up ha ha. I love my mac!!! So keep pitching. Any other
idea to pass onto the Apple advertisement campaign be my guest I would
not know who you should speak to but as I said have at it!!!!!
