My IDE hard disk has some errors on it that DiskFirst Aid can't repair. I've tried to install a clean 8.5 on it, by file sharing the CD from my main B&W to the 2300, but the installer did freeze. Upon restart, I'm now getting the "No Disk" icon, i.e. it won't start anymore. I have my SCSI hard disk from my 280c with a known good system on it (unless the hard disk has been fried when I did this catastrophic short), so I'm wondering if I could temporarily connect this SCSI hard disk and boot from it, so that I could reformat the IDE drive and attempt to install a new system on it. It's very hard to do without any dock. If anybody has a better idea, please speak up now!
