Robert, if you can, download the 7.5.3 OS installer on Apples site, 
and the 7.5.5 updater.  I think these installers will be able to 
install on the duo (I havent had any problems with them).

Personally, I would just backup the important files on the duo, wipe 
the drive and do a fresh install of 7.5.5 if you inhereted the Duo. 
I have done this with 4 units I have.
