Do type 1 2 and 3 batteries differ on the inside ? >>
The packs are laid out a bit differently. Just redid a Type III with the
2150 mAh cells, getting well over 2 hrs on a charge on the 2300 I just redid
(tnx, Mark!!). I use a Dremal motor tool w/a rotary cutter to carefully
score the plastic and then break it loose. To reattach it I use a clamp, two
pieces of wood slightly larger than the battery, and Goop (glue). Clamp that
puppy down after applying the Goop, let it cure for 12-18 hours and you're
good to go. Best to let the glue set up longer than their claimed time,
"just in case."
