Well, in the process of setting up the "Duo Desk Reference" (a lame name, I know...) I found myself looking for quick and dirty web hosting. Apple's iTools seemed like a good choice, and seems to work out fine. The only hitch: I don't normally run OS 9, I run 8.6 (and OS X PB...hey, everyone's gotta have toys, no?) Anyway, a little while back, someone mentioned that the original workaround for using iTools with 8.6 had been defeated by Apple. Anyway, it works fine for me. However, this workaround (I think) requires that you have OS9. 1.) Boot into OS 9 and run the iTools installer. Restart and register for iTools. 2.) Copy the new Appleshare extension from OS 9 System folder to the 8.6 System folder 3.) Restart into 8.6. 4.) Open the Chooser and select Appleshare 5.) Click on "Server IP Address" and enter "idisk.mac.com" 6.) Enter your username and password for iTools Tom PS: This was all necessary because my Duo 230 running NetPresenz didn't seem to be up to the task of serving pages with pictures on them.
