This is a perfect way for me to make my swan's song on the list. I've
just sold my 2400 and UPS should be delivering her to her new owner
tomorrow.

After two years of working with my 2400, which I loved for her tiny
profile and light weight, I recently upgraded to a Pismo. Yep, it's
twice as heavy and doesn't fit in my powerbook backpack nearly as
well. But that screen size is amazing. I actually work on it for long
stretches and it's often preferable to the tower because we can go
anywhere -- like the back yard on a sunny day. And it runs Virtual PC
even faster than my desktop machine. It also runs my USB/serial port
printer without a hitch, which the desktop G3 has consistently failed
to do. It does run really hot, making true laptop work a bit touchy.
I bought a CoolPad and wouldn't run a G3 PB without one now. I got
the Pismo refurbished for about $1700 and have never looked back.

One last item on the negative side (well, for some people), I
completely anthropomorphisized the 2400 and gave her a name. Three
months into my relationship with the Pismo, I haven't even been
tempted to name it. Maybe that's why Steve has given us the Cube.

thanks for all your help, you've been great...

Signing off,
Susan Prosser
