You should be able to swap them directly from one model to the
other. Simply remove the palm rest from the 2XX model and drop the palm
rest from the 2300 on top and plug the track pad into the same
connector. Make sure that you get your hands on a copy of the
"trackpad" extension from Apple (it's a standard part of the system
software.)
