I have a 2400 Powerbook with a NUpowr G3 upgrade (running OS 8.6) and have been unable to use the NUpowr G3 control panel to enable my backside cache (512K). The cache defaults to "Disabled" and when I try to set it to any of the possible cpu speeds, I get a message that "The backside cache you have selected is too fast to run reliably. The next fastest speed that will run has been selected for you". I tried running with only OS 8.6 and the NUpowr control panel to no avail. I also reinstalling v1.03 but cannot get past this hang-up. Can anyone suggest a fix? Ed Mocarski Edward S.
