Do you get the blinking question mark or any other icons? If the System is
damaged you should still get the question mark.

Did you try to reset the Power Manager holding down the power button on the
back for a specific length of time (I'm afraid I don't recall the
procedure/duration for a 2400)?

Will it boot from a System CD?

Note: The correct key combo to force restart is:
Hold down Control; Command (Apple key); then hit Power.

I am responding to the list because you might otherwise get a bunch of
redundant responses. Also, others on the list will be able to pick up where
someone else left off. Besides, it's all going to the same mailbox anyhow.
