Any resemblance on my part to the Sandy Papp who I am is purely coincidental and I am

Sandy Papp
PS: The maxim has worked in cases with the "green light of death" syndrome and it also
included the removal of the PRAM battery. You may actually have a screen problem. Do
you hear the startup chime when starting up?
Try the following: start up and let it sit there for 2-3 minutes. Listen to the hard
drive, if it keeps churning then something is happening. Once anough time has elapsed
for the system to fully start up, press the power button for 2-3 seconds then press
return. if the computer restarts then you have a screen problem. If yu have speech
turned on you may even hear your chosen voice saying "Are you sure you want to restart
your computer now?"
If you are comfortable with opening the 2400 try to reseat the screen cable.
