What is this DT&T that Tom keeps mentioning for logic board
replacement? I ask because I fear I may be needing the same service
for my "new" 2300. It had been intermittently refusing to power on
when the floppy adapter was plugged in, but after zapping the PRAM,
it worked nicely all day Thursday. I put it to sleep that night, but
when I tried to awaken it the next morning, it froze (floppy adapter
was still plugged in). I pressed the reset button, and nothing
happened. I unplugged the floppy adapter and tried again numerous
times-again nothing. I removed the AC adapter and battery and tried
resetting the power manager to no avail. So now I've removed the PRAM
battery as well, and will let it sit until tomorrow. But if this
voodoo doesn't work, and I still can't get the 2300 to power on, I
think it may need a new logic board and I'd appreciate suggestions on
typical cost and places to have it done. There is an Apple-authorized
service place about 45 miles from me, but if anyone has advice about
any other resources, I'd appreciate it.
