Hey folks,

I can't remember if I already asked this and no one responded or if this is
the first attempt. Anyway, the other day, I managed to drop my 2300c and
promptly freaked out. Much to my relief, the LCD did not crack. I powered
it on and the screen was garbled. It looks like there are about 8 different
copies of the screen image on the LCD, all centered differently. It renders
the machine useless without an enternal monitor. It does work in the dock,
though, nothing wrong at all.

Anyone have any ideas on this one? I already reseated the video cable on
the motherboard and the two connectors inside the LCD casing. No go. I
reset the PRAM, and the little thing is currently sitting in the corner
(BAD DUO! ...just kidding, I'm the idiot who dropped it) with its PRAM
battery unplugged for good measure.

Any help would bne appreciated, as I am moving back north in a week and a
half and would like to have the Duo for the train ride. (I'm taking the
Auto Train, that should be interesting....) In the meantime, I might try to
plug in my 230's screen tomorrow to see if that works.

Tom

PS: Who can point me to a supplier of those little grey pads that cover the
screws in the front of the display housing? My 2300 used to look brand
spankin' new, and is quite embarrased by its current external appearance.
