It's called Low level format Zero all data! Simply it writes Zero's to the
entire drive, over writing all data on the drive to make it un-recoverable.
You can try Norton, Disk Warrior, Tec tools, Silver lining and FWB to mount
the drive and re-install a driver. Norton gives you an option to Show
missing drives so it may mount. I have used FWB, Silver lining as well as
HTD prober to fix that problem and get the drive formatted. (Do you have a
Doc with an Internal hard drive you can use?)

First of all, just to make things clear, I didn't do a low level format.
That option was disabled from the initialization options in Drive Setup.
I checked the write zeroes (or something like that) option only.
