I suspect I know the answer to this, but here goes. I have a
3Com/Megahertz 3CXE589ET Ethernet card. My 2400 recognizes it as a
network card, but that's it. I cannot select it in Appletalk, nor
does it have any other indications that my 2400 likes it. I know
3Com did not write Mac drivers for this card, but how hard can it
really be to do a driver for this card? It works in my Newton just
fine with a minor patch done by some clever programmer. Is there any
way I can hack a driver for another ethernet card to get this thingie
to work for me? I was really looking forward to dongle-less ethernet
on my 2400. Any help appreciated!
