As a vendor I tried to use found out the hard way, often the failure of 2400 batteries
sometimes has to do with the support circuitry built into the 2400 battery's case. He
replaced the cells but the unit still wouldn't charge. The support circuitry looks
complex and parts are made from unobtainium. LiIon batteries must have charging control
circuits embedded into them because the hazard of overcharge is too great to allow
possible mismatches.
