Hi Laurent,
Having recently bought a 280c from a friend, I also had no sound from the speaker. As
part of my
standard software package, I loaded Kaboom! to give sounds to different functions on
the desktop
(similar to Platinum sounds with the iMac). I now have a fully functional sound output.
I live in the UK. Kaboom! was originally sold by Nova Developments. If I can help

let me know.
