It will and it's just the right length. I pulled one out of a dead Classic
II to install a drive in my DuoDock.

The drive and drive sled I took from a dead LCII (as others have suggested).

I picked up a SCSI ribbon cable from a local PC store (for around $12 I
think). Unfortunately it had an extra SCSI plug in the middle of the ribbon
but I managed to feed it through the DuoDock without any real interference
from the extra plug.

The only real hassle was removing the floppy drive to properly feed the
ribbon cable under it. It just takes some patience I guess.

I've seen a number of drive mounting kits sell on eBay recently for around
$25. A complete kit would be nice and it would save having to cannibalize
some other Macs to do it. Here's one with a picture. Maybe the seller has
some more in stock. He sold several of them on eBay.

I had a system installed on the internal drive also. It was nice to be able
to boot from it so that I could run Norton or TechTool Pro on the PowerBook
drive if needed. As a matter of fact I had OS7.6 installed for any computer
so that I could boot any Duo I wanted. That came in handy a while back when
I had picked up several Duos and wanted to run TechTool Pro on them without
installing it on each and every machine.
