Another possibility:

I have used a Farralon Etherwave Print Adapter to hook my 280c to the
ethernet network where I work.  This adapter uses a serial port, and I used
mine hooked to the printer port of my Apple Minidock.  I'd imagine that it
would work equally well with the Duo's Printer/Modem port.

These are called PRINT adapters, but don't let that fool you.  I used mine
to access everything on our network.  The only thing I didn't manage to
accomplish was to access the internet with it using ethernet.  It's been a
couple of years since I'd done this, so my memory is a little fuzzy here.
As I recall, I had problems getting TCP/IP to work with it.

Other than that, however, it worked great.
