My PB 2400 originally ran hot compared to other stock units..and only
got a bit worse with the Newer G3. It generally topped out in the
160-170F range sitting in a BookEndz with the top open, regularly.
I've since replaced it with the G3/320 (Interware/Vimage), which is a
cooler running "copper based" processor and while I've hit a high of
163F it usually runs in the 140-150F range.

Some folks have used either thermal grease and/or thermal pads when
adding a new processor to help move some of the heat. A good contact
with the mounting hardware seems to be critical to allow conduction
to occur.
Guess I really need to add all the heat discussions to mac2400 somewhere. ;-)
