At 13.4 in, it's only 0.7 in wider than a Pismo, which
isn't great, but still will fit on most tray tables.
It's actually better in that because of the screen
aspect ratio, the G4 is only 9.5-in deep (0.9-in
*less* than Pismo); the screen will only stand up
about 10 in. In my experience the problem with airline
seats has been the depth of the tray table and the
angle of the seatback.

It's not exactly what I've been waiting for, but it's
close, and I may even part with my Duo collection
(plus, eventually, my Wallstreet 233 and G4 350 tower)
to start raising funds.

But then I'd have to violate my policy not to buy new
Apple hardware-- the value of the base 400 model looks
OK, but Steve is still hallucinating with the step-up
model. $900 breaks down to: $200 to go from 10G to
20G-- about what a 20G drive costs by itself. $400 to
go from 400MHz to 500MHz-- a bit pricey even
considering these are newer reduced-wattage chips.
$300 to go from 128Mb to 256Mb-- *4* times the current
difference between 128 and 256 modules; on Pismo it
was only double. Apple used to be criticized for
skimping on base RAM-- now it appears to be their road
to profitability

I'd be satisfied with a Titanium G3 with a 13-in
screen; that ought to just nail the 2400's weight.
