I have been using a solution perhaps too drastic for most users - I bore 6 1-inch
holes around a circumference of a circle and put a radioshack fan underneath that
sucks the air thru the holes. I keep my 2400 over the holes in its home location. This
keeps the babe so cool that yuo can't notice if it is running continuously.

Obviouisly I can't do it at work. there my solution is to keep moving it over an
"unused" spot on my desk - but there I don't use it that frequently anyway.

My 2c.
