Minimal for most mortals, though the larger cache probably improves 
the performance more than the clock speed does.  The  specs are out 
there, I just don't have a quick link to them.  Kevin at MCE says it 
runs a bit hotter, for obvious reasons I suppose.

At this point, any G3 upgrade or loaded 2400 should look pretty good 
if you have the money and can find one.
